Bis (monoacylglycero) phosphate (BMP) is a structural isomer of phosphatidylglycerol that
exhibits an unusual sn1: sn1′ stereoconfiguration, based on the position of the phosphate
moiety on its two glycerol units. Early works have underlined the high concentration of BMP
