Objectives: As platelets express both insulin and insulin‐like growth factor‐1 (IGF‐1)
receptors, their subunits may randomly heterodimerize to form insulin/IGF‐1 receptor
hybrids, which avidly bind IGF‐1, but not insulin. This study investigated the possibility that
