Study objective: We measured tracheal mucus velocity (TMV), a marker of mucociliary
clearance (MCC), in sheep before and for 12 h after treatment with salmeterol, albuterol,
ipratropium, or vehicle to determine the effects on normal MCC. We also determined if these
