Coronary and carotid atherosclerosis: similarities and differences

Although a relationship is commonly accepted between coronary and carotid arterial
disease, suggesting that atherosclerosis is a systemic condition, the extent of this
association and correspondence has not been fully elucidated. This review discusses recent
