Abstract Sorsby Fundus Dystrophy (SFD) is a rare form of macular degeneration that is
clinically similar to age-related macular degeneration (AMD), and a histologic hallmark of
SFD is a thick layer of extracellular deposits beneath the retinal pigment epithelium (RPE).
