PURPOSE: Histone deacetylase inhibitors (HDAC-Is) show in vitro and in vivo antitumor
activity in various types of cancer cells and are being studied in clinical trials. However,
studies addressing the combination of HDAC-I and radiation are lacking. The purpose of this
