Triacylglycerol accumulation in insulin target tissues is associated with insulin resistance.
Paradoxically, mice with global targeted deletion of adipose triglyceride lipase (ATGL), the
rate-limiting enzyme in triacylglycerol hydrolysis, display improved glucose tolerance and
