Background & Aims The pathogenesis of alcohol-induced liver disease (ALD) is poorly
understood. Here, we examined the role of acid sphingomyelinase (ASMase) in alcohol
induced hepatic endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress, a key mechanism of ALD. Methods We
