Insulin administration activates the insulin receptor kinase (IRK) in both plasma membrane
(PM) and endosomes (ENs) raising the possibility of transmembrane signaling occurring in
the endosomal compartment. Peroxovanadium compounds activate the IRK by inhibiting IR-
