The Registry of the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation (ISHLT) has
documented trends in clinical lung and heart-lung transplantation since the inception of
these procedures. Detailed heart-lung transplantation data have been included in the
Registry annual reports since 1984 and lung transplantation data since 1989. Through June
30, 2010, the Registry contains data on 4,248 heart-lung and 38,119 lung transplants from
