AIMS: Arginase II regulates NOS activity by competing for the substrate l-arginine. Oxidized
LDL (OxLDL) is a proatherogenic molecule that activates arginase II. We tested the
hypotheses that OxLDL-dependent arginase II activation occurs through a specific receptor,
