Allergen-specific immunotherapy (SIT) is an etiology-based treatment for respiratory and
Hymenoptera-allergic diseases. Although introduced a century ago, SIT was not widely
accepted for many years until its efficacy in the treatment of both allergic rhinoconjunctivitis
