Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) encompasses a range of intestinal pathologies, the most
common of which are ulcerative colitis (UC) and Crohn's Disease (CD). Both UC and CD,
when present in the colon, generate a similar symptom profile which can include diarrhea,
