Acute oral complications are serious and disabling secondary effects for patients
undergoing cancer therapy. Therefore, the authors wanted to develop a sensitive and
specific method to measure oral mucosal changes associated with autologous bone marrow
transplantation. 14 patients, all volunteers, 18–56 years old, receiving conditioning regimens
