fetal liver cultures that selectively support B lymphopoiesis. The techniques for initiation and
maintenance are simple but require careful attention to a few key parameters. The age and
strain of mice used as a source of bone marrow and the batch of fetal calf serum all
determine the efficiency with which cultures establish. A method for obtaining larger
