Localization of IgG-Fc receptors in human renal glomeruli

Human IgG-coated polystyrene latex particles (IgG-PSL) adhered to glomeruli on tissue
sections from six surgically removed normal human kidney specimens. The binding of IgG-
PSL to glomeruli was inhibited by aggregated human IgG, aggregated Fc fragments of
human IgG, and a higher concentration of native human IgG, but not by aggregated reduced
and alkylated human IgG or aggregated Fab or F (ab′) 2 fragments of human IgG. The IgG-
