Elevation of intraocular pressure (IOP) is a serious adverse effect of glucocorticoid (GC)
therapy. Increased extracellular matrix (ECM) accumulation and endoplasmic reticulum (ER)
stress in the trabecular meshwork (TM) is associated with GC-induced IOP elevation.
