Mitochondrial dysfunction in the renal tubular epithelial cells (TECs) can lead to renal
fibrosis, a major cause of chronic kidney disease (CKD). Therefore, assessing mitochondrial
function in primary TECs may provide valuable insight into the bioenergetic status of the
