Apoptosis signal-regulating kinase 1 (ASK1) is a member of the mitogen-activated protein
kinase kinase kinase family. ASK1 activates c-jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) and p38 in
response to various stimuli such as oxidative stress, endoplasmic reticulum stress, infection
