BACKGROUND AND AIMS: In type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) chronic beta-cell stimulation
and oligomers of aggregating human islet amyloid polypeptide (h-IAPP) cause beta-cell
dysfunction and induce beta-cell apoptosis. Therefore we asked whether beta-cell rest
