This paper contains data and discussion of the role of afferents in the sympathetic trunks
from the cardiovascular complex that evoke autonomic reflex action. A description is given of
these cardiovascular reflexes induced by afferents of the sympathetic trunks in neurally
intact as well as spinal animals. A positive feedback hypothesis is also proposed.
