Purpose To estimate the incidence of Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) and
ARDS-related mortality rates. Methods We identified patients with a risk factor for ARDS in
the National Inpatient Sample (NIS)(2006–2014). Using survey-weighted descriptive
