Background Chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) is associated with mast cell–
mediated inflammation and heightened oxidant stress. Kynurenine (KYN), an endogenous
tryptophan metabolite, can promote allergen-induced mast cell activation through the aryl
