A new ultrafast and highly sensitive 'turn-off/turn-on'biosensing approach that combines the
intrinsic peroxidase-like activity of gold nanoparticles (GNPs) with the high affinity and
specificity of a ssDNA aptamer is presented for the efficient detection of a model small
