Healing of the inflamed mucosa (mucosal healing) is an emerging new goal for therapy and
predicts clinical remission and resection-free survival in inflammatory bowel diseases
(IBDs). The era of antitumor necrosis factor (TNF) antibody therapy was a remarkable
