BACKGROUND: Eosinophilic esophagitis (EE) is an emerging disorder with poorly
understood pathogenesis. OBJECTIVE: Whereas prior studies have primarily focused on the
role of eosinophils in disease diagnosis and pathogenesis, this study investigates the
