One of the key messages of recent Salpea and Stratakis work is to underline the clinical
similarities shared by these syndromes that could be explained by a defect in the same
signaling pathway, ie activation of the cAMP pathway. That being said, we would like to
emphasize that hepatopancreato-biliary lesions are one additional feature shared both by
Carney complex and McCune Albright syndrome.
